Nyani is an AI-powered study platform that gives you access to university past papers, generates custom quizzes, and provides instant AI grading with detailed feedback. It's designed to help you prepare for exams more effectively by practicing with real exam questions and getting personalized guidance.
Nyani uses a simple credit system. You receive free credits every week automatically — these are used first. When you need more, you can purchase credits starting from MK50. Credits are used to rent papers (24-hour access) and generate AI quizzes. Paid credits never expire, so you only buy what you need. Credit packs and subscriptions are coming soon.
When you submit an answer to a question, our AI analyzes your response against the expected answer criteria. It provides a score out of 10, detailed feedback on what you got right, and specific suggestions for improvement. This helps you understand exactly where you need to focus your study efforts.
Currently, Nyani is primarily designed for MUBAS students with a growing library of past papers. We're actively working to expand our coverage to other universities and institutions across Malawi. If your institution isn't supported yet, sign up to be notified when we add it.
Select your topics of interest, optionally upload your study notes as PDFs, choose the number of questions, and our AI generates a custom quiz tailored to those areas. It costs 10 credits per quiz (plus 5 per uploaded file). This is perfect for targeting specific areas you want to improve.
Paper rentals last 24 hours from the time of rental. During this period, you can attempt the paper as many times as you want. After expiration, you'll need to rent the paper again to continue practicing. Your previous answers and scores are always preserved.

Many students find the free credits are enough for regular study. Credit packs are available for purchase when you need to study more intensively, especially during exam season.
Your readiness score is a percentage that reflects how prepared you are for a specific module's exam. It's calculated based on all your practice attempts across past papers for that module. The more papers you practice and the better you score, the higher your readiness. It helps you focus on modules where you need the most work.
